Making Like A Christian: Gallery Exhibition
The Making Like a Christian Gallery Exhibit will be open throughout Holy Week
“In art, we do not obliterate darkness. Art is an attempt to define the boundaries of the darkness.” —Makoto Fujimura, Art and Faith: A Theology of Making
The pieces you’ll find in the gallery are the result of Community Church members’ participation in creative projects in the courtyard after worship each Sunday in Lent. This gallery is both a devotional tool for experiencing Holy Week in a new way and cultivating intergenerational participation in the spiritual formation of the whole community.

Members of our staff have created a Devotional Guide which includes a special reflection on each piece. This devotional is available as a booklet, digital download, or as audio files all of which we have made available for you to access as use peruse the exhibit.
Additionally, we hope you will join us for a special Gallery Event on Sunday, April 7 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. in Fellowship Hall. There will be catering, a jazz trio, and an opportunity to reflect together on what it’s been like to create in community, experience our faith through visual expression, and to try new things! I can’t wait to see you all there so we can celebrate the truly incredible effort y’all have made to engage these difficult topics creatively. All are welcome!
